Everyone told us that building a house could be a nighmare, but we never thought we would have the trouble with the builders taht we have had. It's turned into such a nightmare that we have decided to onto the attack.
If you know anyone about to build a house please pass these pix onto them.

OMG
Here I am in the process of building a house. Different builder though. Still full of bloody drama's and nightmares.
I am of the opinion the building industry has no idea on customer service and providing what the customer asks for.

TBVX05,
When you use these companies you pay progress payments. AT the moment we sill have one payment to go but we dont own the house (even though it's on our land) until they do the official handover. The house is 99.9% complete they just wont get around to finishing it off and clearing their mess.
What joice do you have as a customert? none, they hold ALL the power.
We have tried being noce, patient and understanding - know it's on for young and old. Next wee we are running a qurter page advert in the daily paper.

If your thinking like you write you need to step back and take a breath.
Think it through. One step at a time.

THanks BB We have been through 10 weeks of trying to work it out with them but they just keep lieing to use. For the last 6 weeks we have been told "Your house will be finished this week" at best we are still 3 weeks away and if they keep going at this rate pobably 3 months away - I do hear whet you are saying though.

Same happens over here,it appears the more you push the less they do, all the legal stuff in the contract appears to play heavily in the builders favour.
