Now that I've just explained/apologised/pleaded to the financial controller about my new lens, I find myself wondering what I can spend more money on....models.

I haven't had a Brock model for ages (by the way I have a spare '75 Torana if anyone wants one at cost)...what's next on the list? Please Bev, let us know, my birthday is next week and the dayglo VK would make a great pressie!!

What do you mean, the 1975 model just came out!

No Commdores until all his Toranas are released! Well, at least the 1979 winner... Then the 1984 dayglo can come out please.

I think it will be the Bathurst LC XU-1.

Judging by model search it must be a big chance.

Yep, the 1971 LC. Still the 1970 LC, 1974 LH and the 1979 winner to come!

I reckon it will be either the Le Mans Porsche or the 1997 ATCC VS.

both would make nice stocking fillers! Speaking of stocking fillers...an e-bay advert at the moment is selling a "1980 HDT Commodore advert from Playboy"...talks at length about the rare nature of the advert (this bit is great) "on the reverse is a Playmate" almost as an after thought.

Saw that, under 'condition' it states poorwith wear and 'marks'.It's the marks I'd be worrying about:eek:

Tried to find an appropriate thread before starting a new one but noticed that the 71 Brock LC XU-1 is now In Production. Some updated photos of the actual model on the website as well. Looks like this could be my next purchase. Looks great.
So glad I have this pre ordered.

They should have the Bond '71 in production as well then - same year, same team - how hard can it be? All they have to change is the number and the name.

I guess it comes down to popularity and whether the model would sell. Like you say though, wouldn't take much to change it.

if i was to guess, i would say that the Bond car will be put into production in the next month or so, as Biante did with the Morris / Moffat a9x's last year which came out a month or so apart as it makes it a little easier for collectors when similar releases have a slight delay between them

I had a count today and there are 5 Brock Race Car Models in 1/18 that i know of to be released this year ( according to most sources ) :

71 Torana
84 VK - last of the big bangers
2 x VL's
VS ATCC

Now if they would kindly do his Torana Rally Car , Volvo , Opel , VN , VP , Targa ute , 911 Porsche etc etc etc then i'd be a happy camper but i'll settle for what i can get my hands on :D

just wondering if we will see some new releases on the 1st anniversary of brock's passing, i hope people don't take offence to this point i have raised, but i guess that maybe a possibility, the annoying thing about this is watch the ebay pricing go through the roof again in september

Hopefully there'll be some news in next weeks newsletter. Then I can e-mail Mark at Bridge Model Cars and confirm my order. I wonder what the production numbers will be.

On the initial page, under the "ABOUT US". If you wait for about 30 seconds it starts displaying preview pictures.
Cheers,
Dave.

That's impressive, can not wait till at least one of them comes out from either Classics or Biante
