I jusr heard a rumour that HRT will have a completely different colour scheme next year, but are keeping it quiet until the end of this year. This is so they can sell out (hopefully) of this years merchandise - which is understandable. I also heard that red will NOT be the main colour. I guess time will tell. Has anybody alse heard this??

I've heard that one too.
With green being the new 'hero' colour of Holden, i wonder if HRT will stand out from the crowd and use green as apart from the Ultratune Commodore (which only appears at the blue ribbon rounds of the championship), there arn't any green cars on the track.
It would be far easier to site and it definately would stand out at the front of the pack on the race track.
cheers.

Yep, that green merchandise would certainly stand out a bit like Ozemail.

HRT could go PINK.

Porsche went pink in 1971 Lemans. It was 917/20 named The Pink Pig. Hopefully, Holden does not want to go down that road. It's to embarrassing!
Bristish Racing Green would be nice.

This change of colours has been talked about a few time over the past couple of months.
Time will tell.
Whatever they decide I'm sure it will look great.

Speaking of HRT, I see the 2002 1:18th Skaife & Bright cars are now showing as "in transit" with a price of $152.73 + GST whereas last years cars were $133.64 + GST. Why the increase in price or is it just a case of increased production costs?
Seems strange when the GTS & Clubsport are such a reasonable price.

Hi V8SS,

Road cars do not attract a Race Team Royalty on their sales and also manufacturing of race cars is more costly due to all the print work and special fittings which are different for each team.

Cost will have risen due to

exchange rate with USD
shipping freight charges
fuel charge rises
every other charge rise

all out of our control.

At least in NZ your dollar is much better against our dollar than 12 months ago.

Thanks for answering my question Bev. I was just glad to see that the models are now in transit. Hopefully, I can pick one up when I come over to Indy Cars if they have arrived by then. Still cheaper to buy from Oz than over here.

While changing colours(?) they should have serious look into banning SIDE BURNS. Whats up with all the 90% of drivers having side burns? Greg Murphy, have a look in the mirror son! Comments.....
