I was extremely dissappointed for Murph & Kelly. Wasnt their fault. Should have fined the team not the drivers.

thats right .
Rules are rules,
Murph got a fair penalty, saftey does come first,V8's are a team sport and it was the K-mart pit crew chiefs mistake but if a tyre goes into pit road the car it came from will get a drive through so a pit crew members mistake can cost the team the race.

I agree that the drivers are part of the team. However, i did not believe that that infringement was the drivers fault.
In that instance they should do what Nascar does and fine the living daylights out of the team. Not penalise the driver via exclusion from the race.

Murphy & Kelly very very unlucky. As pointed out a mistake was made but I didn't think the penalty was fair.
I am not sure how they came up with this penalty but I have never seen or heard of one like it.
Effectively they just pulled them out of the race.
Murph deserved better

Yep, Loste_treasures, spot on about the other fuel spills.
Brocky got a black flag, which from my memory as a clubbie flagger means "return to pits", not necessarily disqualification. But I thought that was funny, since he was sitting in the pit being interviewed and his team was trying to fix the car when he was told about the black flag!
The other spill was minor, but I thought there was a spill over the rear of the car.
Every fuel spill is potentially a disaster, and the inconsistent penalties dished up make the stewards look pretty dumb as far as I'm concerned.
Cheers, ET351
