I can't believe no-one has commented on this. I think the new McLaren has got one of the best liveries I've seen on a Formula One car in a long time.
I just hope that it can be produced accurately in a model. Even if it adds to the price to have it done correctly you can sign me up for a 1:18 of Raikkonen and Montoya right now. They would beautifully match the two orange test cars I'm waiting for the release of!

Im not a fan on the pinkish-red on the wings. The car looks alike to the MF1 car. This year will be year of look a-life f1 paintjobs with STR and Red Bull, BMW and Williams and MF1 and Mclaren.

I like it Wayne.
I have been rewatching some old F1 season highlights, and changing to the silver and black in '97 was one of the best livery changes McLaren could have made. This is a logical extension of that, and it looks pretty amazing.

Still, I wonder how it will look after a tough, hot GP distance....

I saw it today for the first time...my initial reaction was WOW. I think it looks stunning and will certainly serve as a great transition until Vodafone get in next year..I guess the red end plates were set as a prelude to more red on the car next year. Despite it looking great, I hope it's wearing a number in the teens next year!

I reckon that's a pretty good chance. This livery has been probably being designed for a while.
Talk has gone quiet now, but remember there was talk not that long ago about Vodafone trying to get out of their deal with Ferrari a year early.
Maybe this livery was started with this in mind?

Mate, I'm exactly the same! Time off is organised and I'm looking forward to the event big time.
Watching old tapes can only keep you going for so long! :D
Although I must admit the Shannons meet on Sunday went a long way to scratching the itch. Some wonderful machinery there. ;)
