Hello all,

Now that we have all seen the BA Falcon in some sort of 'racing' livery we wonder if we cant make it more competitive for next years racing season.

Some ideas ive come up with.....

Take a shiny new Barra falcon and:

1. Paint it red. After all they say red is the fastest colour. They should also consider painting some 'checkers' on the rear giving the driver some sort of confidence making him think that he is bound for glory.

2. Make it 'plastic bag proof' by having a mechanical arm built into the front air dam whereby it removes any foreign objects that may get trapped blocking the radiator.

3. Remove all the Ford badges. Some people say that these badges arent airodynamic enough. Race teams should replace them with a badge ive heard depicting a lion. They say the lion is the king of the jungle and in some respects Bathurst is a jungle. Also being a shiny badge distracts other drivers in sunlight making it near impossible to overtake.

4. Anyone whos initials arent M.S should not be encouraged to sit in it. Cars who have drivers with initials N.C. should have a built in tissue holder to stop the dials from being rusted up with all the tears.

5. Cars should be encouraged to have the number 05. Research has shown that these two digits have known to reduce a race lap by .000045 of a second.

And lastly,

6. Initials with W.G. should definitely not be encouraged to drive anything that has anything more than two wheels.

BRING IT ON !!!!

1. Give Ford back the front wing from the 94 Falcon - it was too good so it was removed and then reduced in 95 when the new model worked.

2. Allow Ford the gunny flap edge from the rear wing that was removed in the mid-late 90's.

3. Stop giving concessions to the Holden when ever it does not win a race.

4. Allow the 'lightweight' pannels that were taken off the Falcon, back on.

5. Ban the use of the AU and maike them run either the EL or Barra.

6. Make the Holden's carry a passenger and tow a caravan.

7. Hand out 5minute pentalties when it looks like Holden might win - almost worked at Bathurst !!!

In all seriousness,
Holden deserves all the credit it is having at the monent. Ford first lost the plot when they withdrew from competition in the late 70s.

Present times remind me of the late 80's when no one could beat the Sierra's and in the end Holdens run of luck will (hopefully) run out. Why should be penalise a team (or Holden for that mannor) for doing the job better than everyone else.

Do we remember the early 90s, when HRT celebrated when they actually finished a race. They've done the hard yards, why penalise them ?
If Ford want to win, its' simple. Lift your game and hire quality people who can get the job done. The AU was a pig of a race car because they tried too hard.
I hope the Barra is a dead set winner, as if Ford improves, the racing will improve and this issue will be well and truelly dead.
cheers.

How do we improve it ? We wait for it to come complete a few races first then we leave it in the hands of the experts.

1. Have equality in the front (as in downforce) for better turning in as the Holden more downforce.

2. Find somebody to give a Ford team a 15 million dollar budget like HRT:)

Its all irrelevant now anyway until next year. HRT - just too good, not against Fords but against all other teams.
