Hi all...

I'm posting this on both forums because i really do think it deserves it, i just hope people of all ages will view it and appreciate it for what it is.
I do believe that there is a very large generation of collectors out there whom, like myself and others would consider young. At my age every bugger is young.
The thing I'm getting at is, they have missed a whole era of Australian motoring racing completely different that we see now, don't get me wrong, i still love my motor sport as much as ever.
I stumbled across this site yesterday and wanted to share it, Firstly with the rest of the old blokes, and secondly to let the young blokes see just what gave us the uncontrolable urge to jump into the old FJ or whatever, and hope to God it makes it there, and go and watch these men and their diverse machinery do battle
If this site is known to all of you, well, sorry for the waste of time, I found it great.

Cheers Michael

Great collection of pics, particularly interested in all the great pics of the Mt Druitt circuit, have never seen many really good clear photos of it till now…:)

Mt. Druitt was the first race meeting my Father took me to, I think I was about 5 and from there on i was hooked.

Interesting fact...Neil Allen was the first ever to post 100 MHP average round the Mountain in a F5000, don't know what year it was.

Great sight, really love the shot of Leo Geoghegan at Bathurst in 1958, he's nearly over the passenger side of the car..

Good post Michael49, thanks !!

Where do I start on what I love about these? Must admit the Jim Clark pictures do it for me. He was before my time, but what a great driver. Has to be very close to the greatest ever. So versatile.
Just look at some of the drivers featured. Such a pity we don't get the international stars like that anymore.
