i would like to see the tripple challenge brought back, was always a good thing in january, the eastern creek facility is now the best position to host an event, the 3 month layoff is too long for a professional sport like motor racing, look at f1 who are active through dec-jan with testing etc, at least you see acitivity, i reckon a tripple challenge on australia day would be a blast
with people still in holiday mode i think the crowds would be huge, waiting to feb until you see the 1st liveries, cars etc robs the sport of gaining additional followers, some may say they need a break but this would be a marketing bonanza, every tripple challenge i went to was great.

Triple Challenge was a great idea but it won't occur at the Creek again. You forget that one of the stipulations for WSID, and the ARDC was compensated financially, is that there is to be no drag racing at Eastern Creek. And the ARDC had made it perfectly clear that they didn't want the drags there anyway. Maybe Willowbank is an option.

If I remeber correctly The triple challenge was a non-points V8 weekend....not drag racing

if that is the case, yes that would be awesome kinda like the Bud Shootout to the NASCARs

I seem to recall it was Touring Cars, Australian Superbikes and Drag Racing all on the same weekend...

It was. Cars, Bikes and Drags (hence the Triple Challenge name) all on the one day (or weekend including practice)

the eastern creek raceway & drag strip are 2 seperate tracks now, their would be no problem with either operaters, on the contrary both would benefit from record crowds & increased exposure, motor racing in general would be the big winner.
