I see on the Classics forum you saw a Classics label on the WPS car...
I can't seem to find it (although I must admit my eyesight is failing).
Could you direct me to where it is on the car?

HRT, HSVDT and TEAM BOC however we are not on Team BOC. I am sure Richard, Gavin or Bev will confirm.

I received a phone picture message of it from a mate of mine who went to the launch of a picture of the cc sticker on the front bar he said was on the wps car, but I think he might have got hes cars wrong, as in closer inspection off the car it was the spc car, hes it not into your v8s a lot so he doesn't know the cars very well.
And I haven't had a chance to change my mistake, but it looks like classic maybe possibly making the cars because larkhams previous deal with cc.

I belive what Nathan is trying to say is that they don't have a sponsor logo on the boc cars yet but do on the hrt and hsvd. But they have the contract to make these team cars

Just out of curiosity, is anybody particularly fussed about who makes what, or indeed, which teams gets made?

I don't care who makes what as long as it is made and made well.

I would rather Biante made all the V8Supercars purely for selfish reasons as I collect them in 1/64 and Biante minicars are vastly superior to CC ones (and the cases stack easier too).
Then again,if u collect 1/18's,u may think the opposite.
Cheers,
Tony.
P.S. As long as Biante have HRT ot HSVDT a Biante Bathurst winner will still be on the cards.:)

I'd like all cars/teams to be made in 1:43...I think some of the back-markers are wasted in 1:18...but that is my personal bias...
As for who makes what...I'd hate to see an outcome like two years ago, when both manufacturers cancelled models due to a lack availability of production time in China...This I beleive is more likely to happen when one manufacturer makes all of the models.

Good points there Leigh and with the extra teams that CC have taken on board,it's now even less likely that we will be seeing any Perkins Bathurst winners in the near future.:(

Well then biante will have to step up in its quality to detail. Like putting camber on the wheels not tucked under the fenders like the 05 cars and the pit stop lights are red and green not silver and more engine detail.

Far too simplistic David...
Maybe the lights in this (http://www.glps.qld.edu.au/mark/webalbum/v8launch/ album_5.html) picture are in black and white?
The pit stop lights are only red or green when they are ON!
If they are modelled in the ON position, then I should also be able to see them when the house lights are off:rolleyes:
When I compare my Auto Art vs Biante vs Classics 1:43, there as many mistakes and/or missing detail on all of them!!
But lets not go down that garden path again!

VX Fan I collect 1/18s and 1/64 s and yes the Biante 1/64 are more superior but in 1/18s classic has done well BUT the 2005 Bathurst winner is foltless ,and in my books spot on !!!

I am not really bothered who makes them, but I would prefer to have two suppliers...Competition is health for the consumer just look at the first CC models would we be getting the quality and development we now have.
I fear having only one V8 Supercar supplier would have a monopoly on the market and not healthy for the consumer.

Perhaps the popularity/novelty bubble has burst on this little hobby ??? We now seem to be in a holding pattern, where it's really only cosmetic details that change from season to season & thus the market is downsizing ???
Remember now it closing in on 10 years since we've been able to regally purchase V8 Supercars & perhaps most of the occasional or novelty buyers (not regular collectors) have moved onto something else & the crust of it that is there is simply just not enough sales happening out there.....
food for thought. :)

I think its great Classics have most of the V8 Supercars. Means that they have to sepnd more time designing the paintwork etc. Where Biante only have three teams so its lesss time and mean we can see more 70s and 80s race cars which are far more popular

Actually if you re-read it Nathan used TEAM BOC on both occassions. It's just the second was written "Team BOC".
But let's move on.
