What racing Ford has Mid engine ,variable valvetiming, overhead camshaft mechanical fuel injection, 22 pivots in the trotlelinkage alone, weight 998 kg ,has variable valveinlet system and runs on slick tyres and each of the two cillinders have a displacement of 4400 cc!! and is so advanced that it can run WITHOUT the valvegear!
I will give the awnser ................later ,if we cannot think of it
Now this machine would be a great addition to any ford collection as a model and would also take centre stage in any GM display:D

So, it's got a FORD badge, it's a racing machine, it weighs a tonne, and has a two (massive) cylinder engine.
This is weird ... maybe some bizarre tractor pulling machine, or an oversized lawnmower ... they race some strange stuff over in Europe.

FF is it the Spyker 60 8.8 litre engine

no, no it is not a spyker from hilversum holland. No it is not a tractor(Ford did build them VERY succesfull under the name FORDSON, and I have got one from 1920 ish)
Yes it is a Ford build and developed by Fordracing department and there is one of them
this race car has been build by ford in USA and was raced in Winton and won!
Holden are now going to run on behalf of GM and SUZUKI, DAEWOO (outdated opel, vaxhaull) so I should swap over to the other camp as I do drive day to day the Mighty Lanos :D
You poor bugger but look at the good side, you might get a couple of hundred for the tyres. ANDO.

I put a new set on my trojan friday and they were only $55 each!
What is this; 105 viewings and only a couple that are having a go?
all of you who can find a fault on the models ,have a go at this, it is not difficult nor a trick question and also it is not for sheepstations (as Yet)
You can find the awnser on the front cover of a booklet titled;
"A Century of WINNING, the story of Ford's 100 years in motorsport", with even the car on the frontcover (top rhs) how easy is that!!
at least 51% of this forum should be Ford fans so have a go! please :D
Possibly the 999 Racer? Haven't got the book but I have the Model.

1901 sweepstakes is the One
the very first purposebuild racecar that won on it's maiden outing!
The grandfather of FORD motorracing.
When will we see the Daewoo supercar being presented?
by the way the engine's in these eggs are the same as in the earlier nissan's etc. and are little rippers for what they are
plus VERY economical to run and own with reliability to boot.
In Uk etc people paid more than $30k aus for these rebadged Vaxaulls not so very long ago!
"NEXT" what?

Hey Bert
I hear you can get the Lano's to do 0 to 100 kmh in 39 seconds - 25 seconds for you to squeeze behind the wheel and 14 seconds to hit top speed.
I've been grinning all day thinking about you trying to fit in the Lano's. Must be a Houdini act .....

Dear Jager; you are the real comedian,I have had a grin about it myself.
I just picked up the 1/18 crocodile Audi adelaide cent. racecar model and what a stunner it is!,, and I thought of your good self as being the Le Mans afficionado par exelance!
We will ,if you are willing to participate ,see if we can lower the record with the two giving it the utimate handicap.:D

Didn't have clue about your Racing Ford. Still don't, come to that! What capacity is the Lanos motor? It very likely could be an export Holden Family 2 . The 2litre/2.2litre jobs certainly are, my Parents have a 7yo Daewoo Espero they bought new that is still running perfectly, done a dozen or so trips to Qld. & all over NSW. They wouldn't sell it now.

I think holden should swallow daewoo and just re-badge the daewoos as holdens. but it looks like they already had this idea with a leganza touring car?!?!?!

i think holden should 'swallow' daewoo, scrap them and rebadge the cars as holdens like the holden leganza. but it looks like theyve alreary done that. !?!?!? :)

You people are goimg around in circles if you know what I mean.
This car WAS developed and build and sold by General Motors under the branding of either OPEL & Vaxhaull. when the new model was taking over ,they, G.M. ,unbolted all the gear and shipped it to korea and bolted it back into another factory then started producing it again but now under the name DAEWOO
they did this before as the Daewoo CIELO is the OPEL Kadett in Europe.General Motors Owns Holden and is just a very small part of this global giant.
The word swallow is wrong it shall be regurgitate!(spellcheck?!)...
on the question car in the beginning ;
It is a real ford and you will find all the details in the above mentioned softcover book including a rare picture of the DJR crashed XE when they just pulled it from the tree
this publication is a great thing to have !
I had an inkling that this was not a very well known fact.
