I was thinking that these cars would look great in my collection.
I wonder if Biante has looked at making these cars ?
1:43 would be my prefered scale as just about all of my V8's are that scale.
Anyone else thinking the same thing ??????

i was, they look awsome but it means making street versions of the cars (Clubsport and XR8) which would require makind car interior and new windows, although it could also then be used for the safety/course cars.

I agree
These models would look great.
As said 1:43 would probably be the best seller for these models.

We have the licence from CUB and they will be made in 43rd in 2003.
We wanted to do minicars but the association with beer and kids was not acceptable.

My question is ; WHERE WILL IT GO ,WITH WHAT IS DEEMED NOT SUITABLE FOR ADVERTISING(SHOWING) IN THE PUBLIC DOMAIN?
Will we get to a position that fast food advertising is not suitable for over 3 yrs of age or something like that
politicaly/publicaly correctness is on the increase and so is the use of foul language ,it seems to be on every show and publcation plus semi nudity of, it seems, very young ladies on the streets:confused:

FF, agree 100%, as a courier some of the young ladies I see strolling around in what appears to be hookers attire simply stun me. As for motorsport, the day they banned tobacco sponsorship I predicted that one day the same would happen to Alcohol sponsorship. I have never smoked (apart from the very occasional celebratory cigar) & only drink moderately, lately not at all as we awaited the arrival of our newborn daughter. Can't be sloshed with a race to the hospital in the offing! Personally, NO advertising I see or hear influences me to go out & buy something, usually the opposite. The one exception would be the toy cattledogs in the letterbox which do come in handy for the kids.

That is great news admin.
I am guessing that the models to be made in 2003 will be of the 2003 VB Challenge cars ( persuming that there will be some changes to the team livery's )

Great new Admin,
thanks for the information.
Who decideds which scale is appropiate for children, etc... with regards to VB, as I see that the DJR & HRT minicars carry VB sponsorship ?
Is it a government thing, or a Biante decision ?
Are there anychance that down the track the 2002 cars will be made ?
Are DJR and HRT still the main teams associated with these cars ?
Once again, thanks for the info,
Cheers.

I am with you. It would be nice to get the 2002 VB Challenge cars as well as the 2003 and future cars.

I've tried to give this idea to Classics a few times but they didn't listen.
At Oran park 2001 I asked the people at the VB V8 challenge merchandise stand if there were any model cars coming and they said there were coming.

ADMIN, would these cars be specially made (ie: full interior, HSV body kit, spoiler etc) or will it just be a painted up touring car in CC safety car style?

At this stage, VY and BA with appropriate fittings. Have to wait to see the 2003 Challenge cars, then we will decide.
On the minicar thing, it is CUB's company and they decided against minicars. I tend to agree and so will you when you see how they are marketed.

Are you changing the way in which minicars are sold, as I may be a little naive, but i thought they were just like the 1:43 & 1:18 (diecast cars, not toys), just a little cheeper (and smaller!!!)?
Thanks again for the info,
Cheers.
