Can you tell me when the rest of this year 1:43 scale cars are going to be available to purchase as i find it strange that we are approcing the end of the season and only a couple of cars have been released to date.
Also can you tell me if the BROCK/BAIRD cars from BATHURST is going to be produced in 1:43 scale
Thanks Admin

Have a look at my subject thread "Spot the differences..." where you'll find an admin contribution confirming that a "race accurate" version 1:43 Brock/Baird model will be manufactured.

OOLoundes,
I don't know how long you have been collecting for, however it is not uncommon for the 'current' race to be released early in the new year.
In reasent years, the 1:43 racecars (from Biante & CC) have tended to come out between August & March (of the following year), as there are many new changes to them from the previous years' colours. The teams all tend to release their new colours in Feb & March, so getting them by August is pretty good I believe.
I know many teams decide on their new colours around November, but there are oftern many changes before the offical release date.
Also,
with the new models comming out in '03 I would not expect them ('03 versions) out until the Christmas of '03, as not only would the colours/signage change, but all new tooling for the new models will have to be created.
This may be less than perfect, however it's better to wait until the end of the year for a better model than for them to rush them out early in the season.
Hopes this helps,
Cheers.

I am too, an avid collector of 1:43 scale models of Australian Cars and anything Auto Art have released I have purchased. 18 monthes ago I got a list of vehicles which were to be released within the next 3 monthes. ie: A9X 4dr, A9X 2dr, LX SLR 5000,
LH SLR5000 in 3 colours of each. but still I wait for their arrival.
In conclusion Biante are a Business and their main objective is to make money. The prodution 1:18 scale models are their main principle models and with the introduction of the new 1:64 models, I feel that they are shutting down the production releases of the 43rds.
Please Biante, prove me wrong on this theory because I am waiting for some 43rd Road Car releases as well. Why not release a 43rd model if the 18th model has sold out.

We are certainly not neglecting 1:43rds. Don't forget Biante are probably the biggest distributor of 1:43rd scale collectables in the country with Minichamps, AA, Ixo, Vitesse, Spark, Biante, etc .
Our Aussie 43rds will get back on track shortly...some final Licenses are slow to materialise and we will not go beyond hand sample stage of tooling until the License is signed, sealed and delivered.
It will happen!!

Don't forget that it was let known on another thread this week, that EB/EL road cars, BA & VY sedan & utes are comming out soon (before christmas was suggested), as well as the Barra Racer, so it wont' be long until people are complaining again about the volume of models being released at the one time!!!
Some people can never be pleased, at least we have a company that are making top quality Australian Cars. Think back 10 yrs ago and this was not the case !!!!!
Remember - Good things come to those who wait !!!!!
