Heard Classic Carllectibles are making the charger.

Question to Biante, Does this mean Biante will not be making one at all?

Some fine detailing coming out in that product. Wind up windows Opening glove box, Push button boot, Sliding seats. Mmmmm interesting concept that.

Having seen pictures of this "super detail" model, I'd still prefer to buy Biante's version......if they're still making it, that is.

So am I right in reading that 2 different companies are going to release 1/18 scale Valiant Chargers?

Where did you see the pictures, and can we see them?

I heard that Biante started measuring up the for the Charger a few years ago, and those that knew that have been holding our breath ever since!

The wind up windows and opening glove box all sound a bit gimicky to me.

And also, Biante had the push button opener on the bonnet of the VL Walkinshaw, CC are claiming it as a unique feature..

CC's will have a 1/18 E38 Charger out in December and Trax have thier "superscale" 1:24 E38 out now.

And if no-one ends up making a VG Pacer coupe you could always make your own...

Highway 61 will apparently be releasing a 1968 Dodge Dart GT in June 2003, which is basically the exact same body, just with a VE Valiant style front end on it.

Just noticed the full page ad for the pending January 2003 release of the E-38 Charger by CC's in the Nov / Dec issue of V8X Magazine.

I hope that Biante will be blessing us with a similiar appearance in their line up of this model soon.

Is there a picture of the model in the advert?

Classics are trying to rival Trax with thier E38 Charger.
If model car companies were like car makes then-
Biante would be Holden
Classics would be Ford
Trax would be Chrysler or Toyota(whoever the 3rd V8 supercar make will be).

A mate of mine is very close to finalising the restoration of a genuine E38. He has taken it back to bare chassis and rebuilt it by hand over three or so years. I infrequently grab a couple of iced teas and drop in to see how he is going.

It came a long way recently when he took long service leave and worked on the car 6 hrs+ a day.

This vehicle is in Perth and could perhaps be made available for examination/photos in the near future.

Let me know if you are interested.
