I am nearly upto my 1000th post so I thought I would start a new thread.

Seeing some of the pics people have posted on the Bathurst Wallpaper Thread I thought I would start a new one where people could post their best pics they have taken.

It can be of anything. Car racing, Models, Landscapes the only thing is you must have taken them yourselves.

I'll even go as far as offering a 1:64 Brut 33 Moffat Coupe as reward to my favourite picture that is posted if 20 or more pics are posted.

How does that sound to get the ball rolling???

Winning isn't an issue. It's just that I have a lot of 'favourite' pics. It almost changes day to day depending on what's in the next box of shots I open. :D

Yeah my "favourite" changes on regular occurance, but here's one.

Dispite the fact I somewhat disliked Ambrose with a passion when he was here (I like him a bit more since he is flying the Aussie flag in NASCAR), I have always liked this shot, taken at Indy 2004 as he was comming out of the pits, lucky to get this shot as security was pushing me out of the pits for not having long pants on.

Like Wayno I have a quite a few that I consider favorites.

This one as it gives a great feel of rallying in Australia. ie the dust, distance and heat. Taken in 1986 at the Western Plains rally held between Bathurst and Oberon.

Hi Bruce,
if you can open the shot with photoshop you can make them smaller by using the "image size" option. Just keep lowering them until you have the right size. I have put my Bathurst pics on photobucket.

alternatively, just get a photobucket site (they're free), up load them to that site & then copy and paste them into a post, just like many of us currently do ;)

Thanks mate, but you would be scraping the bottom of the barrell asking me, its taken me all night to get this far:eek: . But i am keen to get my Bathurst photos on as there are some good pan shots...and bad ones:D .

Opening up the account was easy, just seemed to take a while to upload and i thought the computer was "freezing"

Excellent shot Wayno, the last time i tried to take a photo of am aircraft it was it was well away from were i took the photo (now family members call it the Simpsons photo because it looks like the the start of the simpsons with the clouds and the sky)

Love to go and watch a NASA launch. When did you go?

November 2004. It was the Launch of the Swift Module.

Was amazing to see and hear a launch 1st hand. Like going to a race, TV cannot compare to actually being there. The sky was so clear that day you could see the booster separation and follow them down almost until they hit the water.

Vxfan. Im so Jealous! I originaly wanted to see a shuttle launch but of course during my visit they were grounded. I hope to go back and see it launch before tey are retired.

In 1998 I saw the launch of the STS-95 mission which carried then US Senator John Glenn, who also happened to be the first American to orbit the Earth, a very special launch indeed. This was shot at a 2.8 aperture with about 125th of a second shutter speed at twilight. Anyone who knows top fuel will understand why I'm surprised it worked! :D

People don't realise just how hard the it is to be able to get that moment. Racing is easier as you can usually predict where cars are going to be and if you miss it this lap, just wait for the next. Not in rallying.

Texan it is a C-130 fitted with Rockets. The Aircraft, nicknamed Fat Albert, demonstrates a Rocket assisted takeoff as the opening act of the Blue angels.

It is pretty cool seeing such a large plane launch off the deck like an F-15. and LOUD!

Here's another one of my favorites this is from the observation deck of Q1 on the Gold Coast looking north towards the Indy track.
For someone who is not a big fan of heights this is pretty frightening and the floor to ceiling glass doesn't help;) the lift ride up doesn't do anything to calm the nerves as it's one of the fastest in the southern hemisphere. I can only imagine what standing at the top of the one they are building in the United Arab Emirates would be like which once completed will be nearing a staggering 1 kilometre high... no thanks.

Here's another one of my favorites this is from the observation deck of Q1 on the Gold Coast looking north towards the Indy track.
For someone who is not a big fan of heights this is pretty frightening and the floor to ceiling glass doesn't help;) the lift ride up doesn't do anything to calm the nerves as it's one of the fastest in the southern hemisphere. I can only imagine what standing at the top of the one they are building in the United Arab Emirates would be like which once completed will be nearing a staggering 1 kilometre high... no thanks.

yes, the 'bar code' has become a familiar feature of the Ferrari's more & more over the past few years....to be honest I like the new diagonal version a lot, kind of refreshing from the past vertical one we're used to seeing.

thanks, the last pic is & I was amazed how dark it turned out, considering it was taken around 3.30pm :eek:

The other flying pic was taken out and about in one of the feeding pools & was a spur of the moment kind of thing that the dolphin decided to do, as it was supposed to up-close with visitors who'd paid a fortune to feed them at the time, more of your right place, right time kind of shots :D

Tiss not a classic like your 1992 picture, which by the way shows the car and the workshop very nicely, but hopefully this will be the one that will come first this year at Bathurst.
