Greg,
Part of the fun of collecting is that elusive hard to get model. If you look hard enough, you just don't know your luck. There are plenty of happy stories on this forum of collectors stumbling across these.
Cheers,
Dave.

Have you tried the Biante auction site, or the CC forum has a buy and sell thread. Maybe also Google it, there could be quite a few variations on the name though.

Yes they are for most.

All depends I think on how desperate a buyer is.

I had a scan through about a dozen or so online shops I have bookmarked, but none have the 92 at the moment for you. :(

I will never be desperate enough to pay the money for the 92 winner. The car just doesn't justify the cost in my eyes.

I know what you mean Wayno , the detail and shut lines are about equivalent to ertl or there abouts and for $800 you could get a few really outstanding models .

I'm kind of hoping on a miracle to get one at a decent price but I'm in no hurry and if it doesn't happen so be it , I can live with that . ;)

I too am in the market for a '92 GTR. That and one other model and I have the complete Bathurst Winners that have been released to date; not too bad for only starting 18 months ago. One option I have considered is a code 3 '92 from a '91 GTR, but even the '91's are starting to creep up in cost...

Did Someone say Code 3 GTR??? I tried getting one for a reasonable price, gave up, then hacked into a Calsonic.....

Actually.. all 3 of the cars are Code 3.

DJR Sierra is latest Code 3..... made that out of a 1988 ATCC Version.

Hope the pics work

You can buy a Nissan GT-R R32 godzilla road car on the biante website for $110, paint that red and get the stickers from pattos place and there is your 92 bathurst winner.

Guys,

The wheels for the DJR sierra were scavenged from a $29.95 1/18 UT BMW 328i.

I took the locking hubs from the 88 atcc sierra wheels and glued them to the BMW centres. I then painted them Gold and voila.

Decals were added via Pattos.

The wheels are not totally correct but close enough. Im hoping there will be another sierra with 7 spokes released so i can fix it up.

Cheers

with such a small pic it is very hard to tell, but they could be..... The ones on the pic code 3 look right apart from on the outer most edge of the spokes where they don't become thinner & the colour doesn't look right, but that could be the photo ;)

Otherwise from a distance I'm sure they would look ok & if you're not prepared to spend what people are asking for the real deal, then you'd have to make do with what you can find ;)

No they are not. Those were made for Ford Europe for their rally cars. The DJR wheels were designed by DJR. The rally wheel's offset is incorrect and they are different widths front to rear which the DJR wheels are not. Sorry.

Brad, you are right. They are not totally correct. At $240 (decals, wheels etc) all up for the model it's way cheaper than the "real deal".

I havent been able to find a race car with the 7 spoke wheels that are similar.

That means that the "ministry of finance" is happy and i've already fooled some of my "Ford mad" mates.

Will wait until the appropriate wheels come along. :)

Cheers
