Hi,

This is my first post on the forums but I have been reading them for a while now and find the infomation very useful. I have only just started collecting models and am looking for some ideas on how to display COA's and Brochures. I was thinking about putting the COA's in some sort of album but am still looking for ideas especially for the brochures. I thought of laminating them and putting them with the models has anyone tried this and how does it look. Any suggestions would be appreciated. What do you do?

Thanks :)

I photograph the COA and put them in a album with a photo of the car and the Brochure I photocopy double sided and have got them in a A4 album so the originals are in a dark box stored away

The certificates might be a little thick to laminate. The thicker something is when you laminate it, the more of a gap there is at the edges before the two pieces of plastic meet.
And a very warm welcome. ;)

Hi,

Sorry my post was a little confusing I was only planning on laminating the Brochures, I was planning on some kind of Album for the COA's but thought I might get some ideas and feedback first.

Just be careful with anything that has plastic over the COA's. Plastic can lift ink off printed things after a while.

For the moment I have the COA's and brochures in a portfolio folder.

Once I get my display cabinet I'm going to take a photo of all my cars and put the photos, COAs and brochures in an album, along with a story behind each car (eg: why I bought it, its significance to me etc.).

I have the advantage of being married to the Scrapbooking Queen of Oz so my lovely wife will do this for me and there will be no adhesives / paper etc. that will cause damage over time (I knew her hobby was good for something....(said with my tongue planted firmly in my cheek).

Mine are quite simply put in folders in A5 plastic display sheets

I like this idea for the brochures, and the local Officeworks is getting an order for a couple. :)

I have also ordered a couple of large frames for my Brock collection signed COAs, and also for the other bathurst winners. Should hopefully look schmick when they are displayed. :)

Ive put my originall copies in a binder folder with all the information on my models, then that is kept in a safe and secure place.

What i have done, is for the models that have fit into my cabinet, i have photocopied the brochure and the certificate and written copy on the back of them. Then i can Display my COA's and brochures without thieves being able to take both.

I have my COAs in a photo album, that uses the little holders to hold the COAs (the triangle style ones) so that there is no glueing or adhesives. THe pages have the tissue paper between them as well -- similar to a wedding album.

The brochures are in an A4 album, but might do like others have and scan them in and print duplicates.

Some interesting themes along pretty much the same line...So far my setup is a bit of a dogs dinner I must admit. Not having enough display cabinets as yet I have about 50 1/18s displayed & another 60 odd in their boxes. I tend to leave the CC stuff (Certificates etc) in the boxes as for shipping. For all of the Biante models I have taken the COAs & Brochures out & stored them in a binder with display pages, along with a computer printout of the "order sheet" & in most cases a 5 x8 colour photo of the car in action, (Race cars of course), usually sourced from a company who specialises in 'pics of autos in action'. Have not heard anything in recent history regarding the plan put forward for Biante to produce a system for just this purpose ??..I have steered clear of laminating anything...My other half is the resident compulsive laminator round this neck of the scrub !! :D
