I'm sorry about the VP Commodore, but we just don't have room for it at the moment.
We have seven new 1:18 scale body moulds on the go, so between us and the boys in Adelaide, diecast collectors should find enough product in 2007 by which to exhaust whatever funds remain after the mortgage repayments are made each month.
As directed from the Gardner Commodore thread ;)
So please start the teasing as to what they are in here :D

Okay Nobes, you have forced my hand ... I suppose that the cat it out of the bag now ... one of our latest 1:18 projects is the long-awaited Lightburn Zeta. We've chosen to look at the more up-to-date 1965 road car version of the sedan, but I must confess to having encountered a lack of information regarding the Bathurst homologation version ... it seems that the Zeta's 12kW 324cc powerplant couldn't quite cut the mustard around 'the mountain'.

That's one - what about the other six?

A Lightburn Zeta. Are they they company that either built the cement mixer type washing machines and then the car, or the other way around?
Remember those unstoppable washing machines from Army days.

Assuming Graeme's not pulling our leg, here is some info on the Lightburn Zeta. A definate Bathurst hopeful (and great whitegoods maker)!!;) :)
Well maybe not a Bathurst car, but this little snippet is interesting:
Technically, the Zeta was an oddity. The gearbox setup meant that the car could go as fast in reverse as it could forward, at a death-defying 60 mph! But to prove to the public that the Zeta was indeed a reliable and well manufactured car, it was entered into the 1964 Ampol 7000 mile cross-country trial. Many assumed the little car would fall apart after a few hundred miles, however it would win over many critics by putting in a stellar performance.
Maybe you should do the 1964 model ;)

Sorry to go off on a tangent with this Lightburn Zeta thing, but doing a quick google I found this interesting site selling some DVDs of early Ozzie motorsports, one being the 1964 AMPOL Rally!

which one the sedan, roadster or ute? Can you do a scale of the washing machine with it that inspired it? You know like Classic is doing the Brock trophy with the Lowndes Bathurst car, you could do the washing machine with the roadster.....
