just wondering your thoughts on the moffat plaque, as in will you be getting one ?, or do you you think it is an added expense ?
My dealer has indicated that out of all the models he has on order, hardly anyone wants the plaque.
Just curious how you all are thinking.
Cheers.

I find that quite disappointing. Not because of what your dealer said, but from what I detect is a "too hard basket" and all his people will miss out.
The orders back from the stores so far has been terrific. And so it should be...where else can you get an exact replica of something as important as a Winners Trophy?? I have a couple of F1 World Champions tophies and I wish I could have bought an exact replca for $130...so does my bank manager.
I can smell another "Sierra" coming with this one. BUT...I will not make more so people who suddenly realise what an important and desireable part of Aussie motor racing history this is, get off their ******* and put in late orders.
I would like to here and now, thank Allan for allowing us to replicate this extremely valuable item.

I for one certainly intend to order the cars and the trophy. There is no doubt the trophy will look absolutelybrilliant with the cars (in front of my 1-2 finish mirror that I have had since I was 8 years old, just after the great event happened).

Yeah, it is an added expense but as admin says it is a desirable part of aussie motor racing history and it is a fantastic opportunity.

Admin, for those who buy the 1-2 cars - do we need to purchase the plaque at the same time? or can we wait to purchase this at a later date? Just thinking of the $$'s for the cars and then the $$'s for the plaque.
I for one will love to get the plaque! Maybe this will be another collection to start - Bathurst Winners and Bathurst Winner Plaques :D

Admin would like to thank Allan........well I'd like to thank them both, because this is an extremely rare opportunity to aquire something different. This will be the pinacle of my 'Moffat collection' and will be a fantastic talking point as have all Moffat models I have been fortunate enough to recieve over the past few years.
Thanks again for the opportunity and I'll have one...please.

One wouldn't be as good with out the other. What a great display
in a cabinet they would make.

It's going to look great, the limited "FORM FINISH" picture with a shelf just below which has the cars on one side and the plaque on the other, WOW.

Yes! And I am absolutely chuffed to have had the opportunity. We have the first win from Austraia in the Shadow, the title clincher from Montreal and the Ceasers Palace one from his last win. A pretty unique collection and I am proud to have them. And, by the way, Allan is glad we have got it!!

Tomorrow, you will have the option to pre order the cars or the cars and plaque.
There will also be an order form in the carton with the cars, which you can give to your dealer and we will supply him, or you can fax/post it back to us and we will courier to you.
Orders close on January 3rd 2003, so which ever way you go, make sure we have your order by then.
They are quite expensive to make and also quite difficult. For that reason, we will NOT make one extra over what is ordered by Jan 3rd.
diecastdude...I cannot believe the shops you went to say they know nothing about them. They have had their order forms for 2 weeks, with a price!! Maybe you should not rely too heavily on these guys to get one for you...if they can't read, they probably can't count either.

You can just order the cars if you want.
In the car box will be an order form for the plaque, which if sent back to us by Jan 3rd 2003, will get you a plaque.

Admin,

I am taking by your comments that the twin set will arrive to those who order by early December? That way giving us enough time to post/fax the form back for the plaque deadline of Jan 3 2003 (wow 2003 already!!!)

Thanks.

You got it spot on the_goldie.
Because it's a relatively high ticket item and time is so tight, thats the reason we have offered the two ways to order.
Yes it is frighteneing isn't it ....2003 just 7 weeks away.

I'm dissapointed that this replica winners plaque is seperate.
I own a trax 1/43 1977 formation finish 2 set and would like the plaque to go with them.
I bought it because their smaller and easier to store.

I've noticed that both the cars & the cars with the plaque have been removed from sale as the are 'temporarily out of stock' does this mean, all gone, none left ?????
If so well done, as i didn't think they would due to the large number of them being made (7712).

On another note,
If Biante keep car 1, which one would Alan Moffat get ????
cheers.

I think admin has mentioned before that 'temp. out of stock' means that they are catching up with orders and will probably put them 'in stock' if they have any left when they have checked whats left in stock against what has been ordered.

It gives them a chance to balance the books so they don't sell what they don't have.
