Has anyone heard anything about a Brock M3 BMW being done by Minichamps

Minichamps only list a sold out 850GLT Volvo in 1:43.

I hope the Bimmer Group A cars come out of the AUTOart moulds and not the cheap Minichamps ones.

wasn't the # thing due to Bathurst being run under international rules & that one of their rules are no # starting with 0, plus I think there was also a think in the Grp A rules where certain classes ran within certain # ranges...

That's correct Brad. This was discussed before about the numbering, but it went via capacity. Can't find the thread now.

Some of the more talented don't need to wait for cars to be produced, they do it themselves!:)

No 1/43. Bought the kit through Dave at www.automodellistudio.com (http://www.automodellistudio.com)

He has lots of other Aussie goodies as well as sourcing things from o/seas.

Nice, I've got a dodgy 1/24 plastic version floating around somewhere based on the Fujimi M3 kit and using the Roodecals set so would love a 'proper' 1/18 scale model of the Mobil M3

I remember going on a school excursion late in 87 after Bathurst and all the hype about Brock was driving in 88 and seeing 2 Black BMW's sitting in the race work shop at the HDT factory, i went to have a good look but was told to turn around and walk the other way some people in HDT uniforms.

Was interesting to see Brocky had a 5 series there as a drive car too, from memory was an early M5 in silver.

Bear in mind that there is another great 1/43 model car available ( Vauxall Vectra Qantas F1 GP Bathurst 1000 '97 P. Brock/D. Warwick Onyx XT085)
This one has the silouette of a Ferrari F1 on the side with a big Qantas logo on the rear wing of the silouette.
Well worth chasing for your Brock collection.

If you were chasing it 6/12 months ago, it was about $30 - $50 from o/seas. Got a few which have gone to good homes with mates.

Great work there BB. Glad to see someone else doesn't believe decal guides and researches properly.

never attempt to build one myself after having made numerous bodgies and cannot afford the 275 dollar ready made kit so I shall wait for the Biante or CC one....

...that was an M5 I seem to recall..duing that period he also made the Bridgestone advert at Calder Park driving an M6. Tow blokes in the back being driven around at high speed talking about B/stone tyres...one says you know who also use B/stone? Peter Brook. PB replies, that's Peter Brock! The guy respondes...yeh him too.
