Hi Guys : Heres a few pics from the Masters....Not the best, but given the position, OK after chopping the tents and things out of the forground and reducing them to go in the forum...

Don't you just hate wire safety fences :)

The mighty Datsun 510 looks a little out of place but no doubt held up his end magnificently!

Nice effort given the conditions

Cheers

He probably got more cheers from the boys on the hill as he went past than the others :)

Vectra,

You must have been sitting just up from me during the race. I stuck my camera through the fence to get eliminate the fence!!

The little dat was dropping ground quick every lap as the big V8's powered around. From memory he was lapped after five laps.

Got to admit the Val looked good as well. My soft spot was the Monaro - that looked awsome.

On the warm up lap the boys (especially all the Camero drivers ) were doing some drift work to warm the tyres coming down to turn 9. That looked great, and showed the grunt those things have. They must be fun to drive. Shame the field isn't bigger.

Some nice pics there, it's just a shame they all have to wear that ugly place-mat on their rear 1/4 panels

Surely they could of thought of a more appropriate way to advertise than an ugly huge rectangle....it spoils the look of the cars imho...

Hey great pic's...I'm jealous now, wished I'd gotten off my bum and come down there....At least you got the Monaro, which somehow I seemed to miss everytime.....

Were you still there till the end....How was the wind after it finished.....

that no#10 HQ with the yellow paintjob and the blue corner band, has been around for a few years.

On Saturday he stopped at Dandy corner. Apparently he was in fourth flatout up the back straight when it went bang. Pretty cheerful youngster considering. Until then he was going OK. Sunday he seemed very slow.

Yes I was down on Turn 9 at the end, my car was parked near the exit gate for a quick getaway. The wind wasn't too bad but the light was dropping quick at the end and with about six or so laps to go it started to rain a bit, the drops were quite heavy, but stoped just as quick as it came.

Tony Hunter runs the car, the owner of the Camaro Jim Richards ran. Tony's VK Commodore Group A he ran in 87 and 88 ran in the same livery as the HQ ;)... You may remember it when Tony and Steve came a fine 7th at the 88 Bathurst.....

Is it just me or does that one Monaro sedan have a bit of a 'Main Force Patrol' ring to its livery?

Great shots, BTW.
