    • Hi Julian >> Has the thought of doing a Brock Tribute 1:12 ever been thought about ?

I guess much like those Biante Modern Historics series ::

AS much as I'd love to see a 1:12 done using the '84 "Last of the Big Bangers" Dayglo paint scheme - I think to get away from the Issue of not being able to have the Marlboro decals ( oop's now I feel like a cigarette..........NOT !!! ) > Seeing as Alan Moffat is part of Biante's preferred drivers - Maybe do the '86 Mobil paint scheme ?

It may be something to do in both 1:18 & 1:12 ??

Anyway..........Thanks for all the replies - Looks like we all have some diecasts on their way

        No worries at all.
Haven't considered a tribute 1:12 at this stage but something to think about! There's a couple of other similar things in the pipeline though.

        • Julian, is there any chance of more 1970s Bathurst cars? some examples could include the:

          1979 Parsons/Rabold XC
          1979 Bond/French XC
          1979 Smith/Radburn A9X
          1978 O Brien/Winter XC
          1977 Jane/Geoghegan A9X
          1974 Frobes/Negus SLR5000

I know you might struggle for numbers for some of them, but it might put some spark back into the older collectors. I don't know about others, but I am becoming quite apathetic with the constant road car and supercar releases. The last one that really got my interest when it was announced was the Bond Harvey car, and that was in November of 2016? Even some resin class cars like the Escorts or Toyota's would be a welcome change.

          • Hey Julian. On the same line as MP4/22 any older 1/18 Bathurst podium cars in the pipeline

That's completely understandable and I wish we could do more of these cars. Problem is we just don't get anywhere near enough orders for them anymore.
For example, the mentioned Bond/Harvey L34, didn't even get to 50% of the 1000 MOQ required (and it's a runner up Bathurst car). We had to specially negotiate with the factory to get the 500 made.
I know it's a terrible situation but the numbers just don't make sense for diecast at the moment. And compounding the problem, is that race liveries are significantly more expensive for the factories to produce.

In saying all that, it doesn't mean we're not looking at ways we can produce them. There still remains the resin option, and we do have another L34 to announce in the coming months.

Not specifically older Bathurst podium cars at the moment but we're always adding to the schedule, and when numbers allow, we will make more.

              • Would this new L34 be a bathurst car? Or ATCC?

                    • Has Biante started work on a ZB Commodore Supercar mould ? In all sizes ( 1:64 > 1:43 > 1:18 > 1:12 ) ::

I Hope IF CC has & continues with Triple 8 > They take a GOOD long look and feel of their current 1:18's and give Us collectors a diecast that we deserve ( opening bonnet, doors etc ) instead of their current oversized "matchbox" cars we get currently. ( I only buy the Craig Lowndes 1:18's - I've just cancelled my pre-order for the Brock A9X - [ I had 2 pre-ordered ] The photo in the Newsletter was enough for me ) - besides I have the '78 & '79 Biante ( AutoArt ) releases.

IF Biante ( and Authentic Collectables ) can produce their Commodore & Falcon Supercar's in the quality they do for the price they do them for - Then CC can too.

                      • As Biante has shown, it is possible to make opening Supercars within the same price point of CC and Apex. However CC at this point seem happy to put out Supercar models with the bare minimum effort and part of that I think is that they have the 888/Lowndes contract. It is a captive market and easy sales for them. If they were to lose 888 I bet they wouldn't even bother trying to sign up any other teams.

Not just yet. We're waiting on some tooling and there's a minefield of other issues to navigate. It is on the plan but it will take some time.

We will have another Holden set coming out first that I hope to announce in the first half of this year... All going well I think it will be a very collectable release.

Most likely cancelled. We didn't get anywhere near the required numbers.

We have started work on the ZB but development time always depends on the factory's workload, and at the moment we have new projects coming out of our ears! We will be trying to get it to market as soon as humanly possible though.

                            • Hearing that there weren't enough pre-orders for the 1976 Bond/Harvey L34 in 1/18 is tough to hear, because I'd love to have one in 1/43.
