    That would be cool.
But probably unlikely. Hoped to be proved wrong though...

It looks so similar. Almost like they couldn't be bothered with a new logo and just went 'stuff it. Put the word Holden on it somewhere and that'll do.' Very lazy

Also read today that giz is keeping #97 and not wearing #1. Interesting decision but obviously passionate about his number

Don't know if it has been mentioned.
When the new commee is released will they be racing it, being front wheel drive ?

Yeah the new Commodore will be racing from the start of the 2018 season.

Will use the same cage/floor/whatever as the current cars but with a V6 Turbo engine and new bodywork. Will be rear wheel drive still, so will be like the Altima and Volvo have been.

All the new Gen2 Supercars will be the same under the skin as what is currently
raced, regardless of the "origin" cars spec. So all cars will be rear wheel drive.

The roll cage needs some modification and therefore technical sign-off for coupes
like the Mustang and GTR - if they were to be raced. Apparently the GTR needs to
be stretched to make it fit on the current chassis.

volvo have had ford engines and even heard of alfa romeo engines in some of there cars around the world. in america ther bulit around a dozen 960 (i think) wagons with ford v8's and one for paul newman. mercedes had cosworth and so on. i will miss the sound of the volvo though.
