The Ipswich revolution is coming to an NRL club near you.

A breeding ground most famous for the Walters brothers and Allan Langer, Ipswich products are again set to flood the NRL with almost half of the team that started the State Championship Final against Newcastle on grand final day now snapped up by NRL clubs.

Back-rower Kurt Capewell was the latest signing, agreeing to join five-eighth Josh Cleeland at the Sharks with Matt Parcell, Rod Griffin, Billy McConnachie and Carlin Anderson also joining NRL clubs full-time when the pre-season begins in the coming weeks.

Sam Burgess’ return to the NRL has gained pace after the Englishman was granted leave by rugby side Bath to consider his future.

BBC Sport is reporting the England rugby union centre will make a decision on whether to return to league - and a potential reunion with his former NRL club South Sydney- in the coming days.

CHRIS McQueen will be offered to the Titans with the former Maroons star set to be squeezed out by Souths to accommodate the potential return of Sam Burgess from English rugby.
The Courier-Mail can reveal McQueen will test his value on the open market after a turbulent season at Redfern that saw him axed to the bench, costing him his prized Origin jumper.
The Rabbitohs are battling salary-cap pressures and will consider jettisoning McQueen, Test centre Dylan Walker and prop Tim Grant to free up funds to resurrect Burgess’ NRL career.

I thought the Kiwis were certainties. What are your thoughts on this scoreline?

                  England 26
                  New Zealand 12

England 26 (Ferres 2, Hodgson, O'Loughlin tries; Widdop 5 goals) beat New Zealand 12 (Harris, Moa tries; Luke 2 goals). Hull, U.K. Crowd: 23,526.

Kiwis play against a full strength team and have some competition.
                    Will be interesting.

Former Rabbitohs player and experienced coach David Penna will take the reins of the Rabbitohs’ under 20s side as well as assisting with the first grade squad.

Penna, who played 56 first grade games for South Sydney between 1994 and 1997, will bring a wealth of coaching experience to the team, having been part of the senior coaching staff at the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles for the past ten seasons.

Jamal Idris' manager insists the enigmatic centre has not retired from the NRL despite being released by Penrith to deal with a host of personal problems.

For the second time in as many years Idris has stepped away from the game, after being granted a release from the final season on his Panthers deal.

Gold Coast winger Kevin Gordon has been forced into premature retirement because of a chronic hip injury.

Gordon has hung up his boots at just 25 after managing six NRL games in 2015 because of injury and poor form.

Joseph Paulo has signed with Cronulla after he was released from the final year of his Parramatta contract.

The Sharks picked up the Samoa and USA international on a two-year NRL deal after he was told by the Eels he was free to negotiate with rival clubs.

Marquee Knights recruit Trent Hodkinson is confident his past success puts him in good stead for the new chapter of his career in Newcastle.

One of two Knights signings for 2016, alongside journeyman Mickey Paea, the six-time Blues halfback remains positive for the future despite Newcastle's run to the wooden spoon in 2015.

Penrith Panthers are delighted to announce the signing of forward Suaia Matagi on a one-year deal, with an option for a second year.

                              Christmas has come early

Although looks like a bit of a cull will have to happen to fit him under the cap, possibly Grant and McQueen, rumors about Walker as well
